I'm much better now. Thanks a million gazillion to all of my reviewers and commenters who wished me and Ry's family well. It means very, very much. Ember is doing well and her daddy is recovering with the help of friends and family, and he's very much dedicated to being the best father any baby could ever ask for. Ember is in very, very good hands.

In the wake of tragedy I've thrown myself into work, which means starting college applications. When that wasn't enough to occupy me, I got back to karate, and when that didn't do it, I decided to be proactive and do something to better someone else's life. What's resulted is a huge effort to start a Gay-Straight Alliance at my very cliquei-ish and close-minded high school, and now that I have two other officers, two staff advisors, a perfect location, and administrative support, our plan Q^2 (Queer Qlub!) is a go at last. We're putting up "Safe Space" posters all over the school, and everything is going really, really well. Our first meeting should be ready to kick off in a few weeks or so, and I'm thrilled to have been the one to initiate this change. I'm going to strive and do my best as El Presidente of my school's first ever pro-gay support club
